We innovate the concept of movement, inspire individuality, and illuminate the artist in you! Lux Dance Project is the premier pre professional commercial dance training facility in Onslow County, offering the highest quality dance training in all genres for ages 2 to adult. Our dancers grow on both a technical and artistic level, learning from some of the leading choreographers and instructors in the southeast, and across the US. We are dedicated to nurture the creativity and imagination of each dancer. We believe that through the shared experience of art, our dancers not only gain an appreciation for dance but feel comfortable to push boundaries and challenge their own personal limits. We strive to instill within each dancer the confidence and life skills needed to create their own journey. We set ourselves apart by sustaining both a well rounded and professionally driven dance education program. Lux Dance Project not only provides exemplary dance training, and education, but we help navigate the development of resources to allow each trainee to pursue any professional avenue they can envision. We nurture a basis in classical training, while encouraging innovation, inspiration, and desire for success.

Our Commercial Dance Program offers students pre-professional training in a wide variety of dance forms and styles. This program is specially designed to develop well-rounded dancers with the technical skills, discipline, and commitment necessary for a professional career in the dance industry, whether it be in music videos, on stage, on television, or in film, as well as admittance into prestigious university and college dance programs. Master classes featuring distinguished guest artists, university faculty, and leaders in the professional industry are scheduled throughout the year, which provides students the unique opportunity to establish a working relationship with various internationally renowned choreographers. Intended for serious, mature dancers with a passion for their artistry, the Company Programs also offer exciting performance opportunities, where students have the chance to demonstrate the artistic skills and talents they have gained.
Lux students receive technical instruction in jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and musical theater dance from a core faculty of professional artists. Students also receive training in choreography, dance history, and injury prevention/rehabilitation, as well as instruction on how to prepare for the business requirements related to obtaining professional work. Performance opportunities include annual concerts, featuring original choreography by esteemed Lux faculty and master guest artists. Students also have the opportunity to present their original choreography in an annual student expressions concert.
